Jarrius Jackson

Jarrius is the Founder and Executive Director of the SOAR Institute. His work focuses on youth leadership development, mentorship, and expanding opportunities for high school students as they prepare for life beyond graduation. Through SOAR, he leads organizational strategy, partnership development, and the design of student-centered programming that helps young people build purpose, confidence, and leadership skills.

 

Jarrius’s professional experience spans nonprofit leadership, public policy, and youth development. He has worked with the Georgia House of Representatives, supporting legislative initiatives and community engagement efforts, and previously served as a policy intern with the ACLU of Georgia, contributing research and policy analysis on civil liberties issues. He has also supported student leadership initiatives through organizations such as 21st Century Leaders and has helped coordinate large-scale college access programming through Heritage Empowered, working directly with students across the country.

Jarrius studied Mathematics and Communication Studies at Morehouse College, where he developed a strong interest in leadership, education, and public service.

 

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jarrius moved to Atlanta, Georgia as a child and has remained deeply connected to the city and its communities. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys traveling, cooking, attending concerts, and spending time with friends.
